Dr. Ayo Akinola
Dr. Ayodele Akinola is a strategic C-Level leader at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), the Chief Facilities Officer. Widely recognized for his expertise in facilities administration, engineering, project management, technology implementation, and strategic and capital planning. With over 25 years of leadership experience in high-performing organizations, including elite global entities, higher education, and the Nevada State Government, he has successfully driven key strategic initiatives, streamlined operations, and enhanced human capital development. Dr. Akinola holds a Doctorate in Project Management, an MBA in Project Management, a degree in Electrical Engineering, and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, along with other credentials.
Currently serving as the Associate Vice President at TMCC, Dr. Akinola oversees facilities design, construction, operations, capital management, auxiliary services, and real estate management. His leadership extends to strategic master planning, sustainability initiatives, and managing TMCC’s significant land holdings across multiple campuses. Additionally, he is the President of the Pacific Coast Association of Physical Plant Administrators (PCAPPA 23/24), President of Stonefield II HOA, Vice President of the Northern Nevada Facilities Managers Association (NNFMA), and serves on the boards of both the Nevada Professional Facilities Managers Association (NPFMA) and Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful (KTMB). Dr. Akinola’s dedication to community service and environmental sustainability has earned him numerous accolades, including the 2023 Environmental Protection Agency Green Power Award for his contributions at TMCC.
